    Jeszcze w czasie studiów został zaangażowany przez Teatr Wielki w Łodzi, gdzie przeszedł wszystkie stopnie kariery dyrygenckiej (asystent dyrygenta, dyrygent, kierownik wokalny, dyrygent-szef orkiestry), by w latach 1981-87 pełnić funkcję dyrektora artystycznego tej sceny.W roku 1985 wraz z zespołem Teatru Wielkiego w Łodzi i gwiazdami takimi, jak: Maria Chiara, FiorenzaCossotto, NunzioTodisco i Ivo Vinco zainaugurował działalność odrestaurowanego Teatro Vittorio Emanuele w Messynie. W latach 1987-92 był pierwszym dyrygentem Macedońskiej Opery Narodowej i Macedońskiej Filharmonii Narodowej w Skopje, koncertował także w wielu miastach Republiki oraz wielokrotnie prowadził gościnnie spektakle w Chorwackiej Operze Narodowej w Zagrzebiu.Po powrocie do kraju, w latach 1996-98, pełnił funkcję dyrektora artystycznego Teatru Muzycznego w Łodzi 행정지도. We wrześniu 1998 roku ponownie objął stanowisko dyrektora artystycznego Teatru Wielkiego w Łodzi i był nim aż do roku 2000, a następnie jeszcze raz w latach 2004-2005.     He studied conducting at the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw under Professor Bogusław Madey. While still a student, he joined the Grand Theatre in Łódź, where he went through all conducting stages (assistant conductor, conductor, vocal director, conductor-head of the orchestra), to become its artistic director (1981-87). In 1985, together with the Grand Theatre in Łódź and such stars as Maria Chiara, Fiorenza Cossotto, Nunzio Todisco and Ivo Vinco, he inaugurated the restored Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina. From 1987 to 1992, he was chief conductor of the Macedonian National Opera and the Macedonian National Philharmonic in Skopje, giving concerts in many cities of the Republic and he has repeatedly guest conducted the Croatian National Opera in Zagreb. After returning to Poland, in 1996-98, he was the artistic director of the Musical Theatre in Łódź. In September 1998, he returned to the Grand Theatre in Łódź, where he held this post until 2000, and then again in the years 2004-2005.He has prepared over 70 premieres for this theatre’s stage, including Polish premieres: Akhenaten by P. Glass, Dialogues of Carmelites by F. Poulenc, Adriana Lecouvreur by F. Cilei, Candide by L. Bernstein, Gayane by A. Chaczaturian, Mephistophele by A. Boito. From 2001 to 2002 he was the artistic director of the Opera and Operetta in Cracow. His repertoire includes over 120 opera, ballet and operetta pieces. He has prepared over 80 premiere performances. He has conducted over 3,000 performances as well as symphonic and chamber concerts. He has made guest appearances in almost all European countries. A laureate of the Bronze and Silver Medal for Merit to Culture GLORIA ARTIS and the “Mask of Masks” – Honorary Gold Mask awarded during the 40th anniversary of the Grand Theatre in Łódź for 50 excellent productions in this theatre. In 2005 he took over as chief conductor of the Grand Theatre in Łódź, becoming the theatre’s music director in 2008, and then – until July 2011– the deputy director for music. From September 2009 to May 2011, he was also the music director of the Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera in Warsaw. In 2013, he was awarded by the Minister of Culture with “Medal for Merit to Polish Culture”. In 2013, at the Grand Theatre in Poznań, he prepared the Polish premiere of M. Weinberg’s Portrait, for which he received the award “Best Polish Opera Conductor” from the Jan Kiepury Foundation. From 2014 to 2016 he was the music director of the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk. He works with the Grand Theatre – National Opera and the Grand Theatre in Poznań. In 2022, he celebrated 50 years of artistic work and the management of the Grand  Theater in Łódź appointed him honorary first conductor.
