Marcela WierzbickaSoprano, Poland

    Born in Toruń (Poland) in 1992, Marcela Wierzbicka currently studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, at the Faculty of Vocal Music and Drama, in Prof Download DuKong StarCraft. Hanna Michalak’s singing class.

    She is cooperating with several orchestras: Chamber Orchestra of Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, Philharmonic of Warmia and Mazury, Pomeranian Philharmonic, Koszalin Philharmonic, Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica and Capella Bydgostiensis.

    She is a winner of a number of vocal competitions: the 7th Iwona Borowicka National Operetta and Musical Performance Competition (3rd Prize, 2016), the 5th Ignacy Paderewski National Vocal Competition in Bydgoszcz (3rd Prize and a Special Award, 2015), the 10th International Singing Competition “Golden Voices” in Warsaw (3rd Honourable Mention and a Special Award, 2015), the 1st Jan Kiepura National Vocal Competition in Sosnowiec (3rd Prize and a Special Award, 2015). In December 2015 she was awarded the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
