Arias from the most popular world operas and works by Stanisław Moniuszko were sung at the Final of the 2nd International Antonina Campi Vocal Competition, which took place on Friday, 8 March, at the Opera Hall of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin.
The finalists were accompanied by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra conducted by José Maria Florêncio, which also played the overture and mazur from Moniuszko’s “Halka”, as well as the overture to “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by Mikhail Glinka.
Here are the winners of the 2nd International Antonina Campi Vocal Competition:
1st prize – Paweł Trojak (Poland)
2nd prize – Natalia Rubiś (Poland)
3rd prize – Magdalena Wachowska (Poland)
The Prize for the Best Art Song was awarded to XXX.
The Special Prize of the Hungarian State Opera was given to Paweł Trojak (Poland), who was invited to perform the selected part at the Opera in Budapest.
The Special Prize of the Music Director of the Opera Festival in Paris was awarded to: Paweł Trojak (Poland) and the Special Prize of the TACT International Art Management also to: Paweł Trojak (Poland).
